DBA Lead

- Lead a team of DBAs and own the strategy, standards, and operational excellence for database platforms.
- Design and implement database architectures, high-availability, disaster-recovery, and scaling solutions.
- Oversee performance tuning, capacity planning, backup/recovery, security, and compliance for databases.
- Drive automation, monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement for database operations.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver reliable data platforms.
- Establish documentation, runbooks, governance, and change-management practices for database environments.
Required experience
- 8+ years of DBA experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL in enterprise environments.
- Proven experience leading DBA teams, managing stakeholders, and delivering complex database initiatives.
- Strong expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, HA/DR, security, and operations.
- Experience with cloud database services, automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred experience
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Always On, replication, or advanced HA/DR technologies.
- Experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, or other managed database platforms.
- Relevant database certifications and experience with large-scale enterprise data environments.
