Develop and maintain custom Order Management System (OMS) solutions for enterprise ecommerce, retail, and distribution operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement OMS features for order capture, fulfillment, inventory, pricing, and returns management.
  • Develop integrations between OMS and ecommerce platforms, ERP, WMS, payment gateways, shipping carriers, and customer-service systems.
  • Build and maintain APIs, workflows, data models, and business logic for order-management processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with business users, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver reliable OMS capabilities.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, testing practices, and change-management procedures for OMS environments.

Required experience

  • 4+ years of software-development experience with focus on OMS, ecommerce, or retail technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of order-management processes, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, and returns workflows.
  • Experience with backend development using Java, .NET, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Solid experience with databases, SQL, APIs, messaging, and integration patterns.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred experience

  • Experience with custom OMS implementations, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience with high-volume ecommerce, omnichannel retail, or global order-management operations.
